Terms of use

A fictional game night

Grim Gatherings is entertainment. Mysteries may describe murder, violence, coercion and other mature themes; check a story's content notes and make sure everyone is comfortable before playing. Characters and solutions are fictional. Never act out dangerous scenes or treat game accusations as accusations about real people.

Your account & content

Keep your account credentials and API keys private. Do not impersonate others, harass players, attempt to access another person's drafts or bypass administrator controls. Accounts are optional for free mysteries; premium hosts need an account. Signup and purchases do not grant moderation or developer access.

You retain your rights in stories you create. Only upload content you own or have permission to use. Submitting a story allows the site owner to review it and, if approved, display it and make it playable in the community catalog with author credit. Approval is not guaranteed. The owner may request changes or remove a published story. Do not submit unlawful content, private personal data or material that infringes another person's rights.

Availability & saves

The current game is host-browser based, not an always-on hosted room. Keep that device connected and awake. Connections and third-party services can be interrupted, and features may change. Keep downloaded copies of stories you want to preserve; browser storage and optional cloud backups are not a guarantee against data loss.

AI generation uses your selected provider and its terms and limits. Review generated content before playing or submitting it. Any provider charges are separate from this website.

Current access

The free narrated mystery catalog and guest joining remain free. Optional premium games are separate purchases; the shop states whether checkout is open. The administrator's developer sandbox is separate from purchase access.

Premium purchases & refunds

The Shadow Societies bundle includes The Lanternfall Covenant and The Black Ledger Society for one payment of $9.99 USD, not a subscription. Both are 3-10-player pass-and-play social-deduction games on one trusted device. They do not include separate-phone multiplayer, downloadable kits, live hosting or the free games' five-chapter format. See the shop description before buying.

Sign in to the correct Grim Gatherings account before checkout. Both games unlock there only when the server verifies a completed payment from PayPal. The PayPal email need not match the game account. Return links, pending payments and direct PayPal.Me transfers are not proof of a verified bundle purchase. Guests do not buy separately. Purchases grant game access, never administrator privileges.

Your purchase allows repeat personal, non-commercial play through the website while the service operates, across devices when signed into that account. Do not resell access, share your password, redistribute protected game materials or use the bundle for paid/commercial events without separate written permission. Availability depends on the service, your connection and your browser. Ownership is not a promise of permanent hosting, downloadable source code or an account transfer.

Checkout is hosted by PayPal. Credit/debit card guest checkout may be offered subject to PayPal eligibility and merchant settings; a PayPal account may be requested in some cases. Your card details are not collected by this website. The total charged for the bundle is $9.99 USD; your issuer may apply its own conversion or other fees. The merchant must verify applicable tax obligations before enabling live sales.

We offer a full bundle refund on request within 14 days of purchase. Request it privately using the payment-support email shown in the shop when checkout is enabled; include your purchase reference, never a password or card details. We will review later access-failure or duplicate-charge reports as well. Refunds are returned through PayPal to the original payment method; processing time depends on PayPal and your provider. Refunding either game means refunding the whole bundle and removing its access. Partial refunds, reversals or payment disputes also suspend access from that payment pending support review. Your statutory consumer rights are not restricted by this policy.

By confirming purchase terms you request immediate digital access. This does not waive the stated refund policy or statutory rights. If charged but games did not unlock, choose Check payment in the account's purchase history before paying again. Sandbox orders use test funds only and never confer live access.
